Long Beach Transit begins its 2017 Museum Express service on Saturday, July 1, with a trip to the Getty Center.
One of Long Beach Transit’s most popular transportation programs, the Museum Express shuttles customers to museum venues and back to Long Beach for a round trip fare of only $10. It operates Friday through Sunday.
Friendly, professional operators serve as on-board guides and provide customers with the superior service that Long Beach Transit is known for on ADA-accessible buses that have room for two wheelchairs per trip.
The service will include round trip transportation to the Getty Center, Griffith Park Observatory, Huntington Library and Botanical Garden, Ronald Reagan Library, Mission San Juan Capistrano, Exposition Park Experience, Norton Simon Museum, Sawdust Festival, Wilshire Museum Row, Skirball Cultural Center, Laguna Art Museum/Festival of Arts, Descanso Gardens, Autry Museum, LA Arboretum, Bowers Museum and Getty After Dark.
Tickets are on sale now for $10 per person and the service will run once a day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday through Sept. 10. Ticket sales are conducted on a first-come, first-served basis by visiting Long Beach Transit at 130 E. First Street in Long Beach.
The ticket price does not include any potential venue admission costs, and customers are encouraged to contact the venue they will be visiting to determine special considerations such as dress code requirements and available food services.
Tickets are also available online through Eventbrite.com and searching for “Long Beach Transit Museum Express” or by sending a registration form with a check addressed to Long Beach Transit Museum Express, 1963 E. Anaheim St.
